SENC Rescue Home

The Southeastern Newfoundland Club (SENC), a regional club of the Newfoundland Club of America (NCA), has initiated and designated a rescue committee to provide rescue service within the region served by the Southeastern Newfoundland Club. The purpose of SENC's rescue program is to prevent the suffering of homeless Newfoundland dogs and whenever possible, place them in good homes. SENC's committee works within the guidelines of the Newfoundland Club of America’s Rescue Committee.

We are dedicated to preserving the lives, health and welfare of Newfoundlands. Our organization covers the states of North and South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.

If you have a Newfoundland that needs rescued, please call (866) 938-6393 (Wet Newf) or

Chewy's Story
We have a new addition to the SENC foster family. We are making public much of the information from behind the scenes of rescue the public never sees, hears or reads. Chewy's story needs to be told for people to see what SENC deals with on occasion and other clubs as well. Not all rescues are as in such poor condition as Chewy, in some cases they are worse. It may be hard to believe but sadly it is true. Happily many come from good homes where the owners cannot keep their loved pets for many reasons. Chewy was turned over to SENC rescue on October 21, 2005. Chewy's story is available for everyone to see some of the horrors rescue deals with.

SENC is always in need of foster homes. If you would like to volunteer for a rewarding job, please consider being a foster home for a rescued newf. We will be grateful, but, most of all the rescue dog will be eternally grateful. Please take 5 minutes and complete the online foster form and help a rescued newf have a better tomorrow.

If you are interested in adopting a Newfoundland or in fostering a Newfoundland and reside in Alabama, Georgia, North or South Carolina, please go to our adoption page for further information. We are sorry we do not place our rescue newfs out of the states we serve. If you live outside of the rescue area we service, please visit the NCA rescue website.
